Joanes Cascajares started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Libana's goal looked a bit too open when Joanes Cascajares came free, but Xuoco Hoyuela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute, Koldobika Portal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salitrico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Ernesto Idigoras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferman Barja in the 15th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Donato Cardeñosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Salitrico's Joanes Cascajares in 25 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Xuoco Hoyuela guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. If Ferman Barja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Ferman Barja sped through Salitrico's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ernesto Idigoras. Donato Cardeñosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ernesto Idigoras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ferman Barja's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernesto Idigoras was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Salitrico:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Libana:s goal. Ernesto Idigoras had in the 43rdth minute some difficulties stopping Peruxu Palianza's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Peruxu Palianza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernesto Idigoras. Salitrico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peruxu Palianza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.
When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Ferman Barja put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ernesto Idigoras. After 57 played minutes Libana got a freekick which was hit by Aquilino Barco. When Ferman Barja came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Libana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferman Barja couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the match, Salitrico's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Cardeñosa came free, but Ernesto Idigoras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Idigoras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Cardeñosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Fabio Tegerina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernesto Idigoras made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Ferman Barja sent off a good shot on target. Joanes Cascajares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xuoco Hoyuela having to interfere. Inacio Moyua hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. If Donato Cardeñosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 95 played minutes Libana got a freekick which was hit by Aquilino Barco. Joanes Cascajares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xuoco Hoyuela having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Libana walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
