Enmanuel Cantoral kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Emilio Verde made a precise shot to the right of Nalo Ardanza. Guayabero's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Txurio Cagide's late challenge caught a Guayabero's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Txurio Cagide helped the player get up and apologised. Txurio Cagide hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Nalo Ardanza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Verde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gero Arechavala in the 73rd minute of play forced Barbascal FC's goalkeeper Mariano Cañada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Cañada stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gero Arechavala's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Gero Arechavala showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Mariano Cañada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diaz Funes in the 92nd minute of the match. Diaz Funes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Cañada having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Emilio Verde managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barbascal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilio Verde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nalo Ardanza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Guayabero supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Guayabero would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
