The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Delmar Cuñat during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 3 played minutes Cuenca got a freekick which was hit by Delmar Cuñat. Marciano Abin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Galoer Poncelas having to interfere. Jorrin Lezarazo was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Berto Reina capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Berto Reina really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Marciano Abin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorrin Lezarazo made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Berto Reina sent off a good shot on target. Galoer Poncelas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Pubill in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Cuenca's Berto Reina ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jorrin Lezarazo. Jorrin Lezarazo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. La Resistencia IBG's Jorrin Lezarazo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save La Resistencia IBG from getting a goal against them. Berto Reina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorrin Lezarazo having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of La Resistencia IBG:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cuenca:s goal. Marciano Abin struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Galoer Poncelas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Resistencia IBG. Itzaina Sarricolea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Galoer Poncelas having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Milian Padrones was the one to do the kick off. Marciano Abin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Galoer Poncelas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Berto Reina notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of La Resistencia IBG's Jorrin Lezarazo. Jorrin Lezarazo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Cuenca's Rudolfo Amoros got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 70th minute, Berto Reina made a precise shot to the right of Jorrin Lezarazo. La Resistencia IBG's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. In the 72nd minute, Itzaina Sarricolea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74thth minute of the game Berto Reina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Resistencia IBG's Jorrin Lezarazo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Patricio Pubill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Galoer Poncelas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cuenca's Delmar Cuñat got his second yellow card of the match in the 79th minute. The referee ordered Delmar Cuñat off the ground. A collision led to Cuenca getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Delmar Cuñat hit a great ball. Marciano Abin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Marciano Abin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cuenca's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
