If Xulian Nogro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igon Piedra in the 6th minute of play forced Chapeto's goalkeeper Enmanuel Respaldiza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Estebe Riega fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraguachon's protests and gave Estebe Riega a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Estebe Riega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Feliciano Duarte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gualterio Arada was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Enmanuel Respaldiza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Igon Piedra made a kick off. With a little luck, Chapeto's Enmanuel Respaldiza got control of the ball when Igon Piedra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chapeto's Honorio Huergo got his second yellow card of the match in the 54th minute. The referee ordered Honorio Huergo off the ground. After a rather tough play, Chapeto's Honorio Huergo got a free kick in the 55th minute. When Feliciano Duarte came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Chapeto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliciano Duarte couldn't finish the play. Enmanuel Respaldiza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igon Piedra in the 62nd minute. Osvaldo Minilo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualterio Arada having to interfere. Igon Piedra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Enmanuel Respaldiza made a huge save. Chapeto's Uriel Chica got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paraguachon's Gualterio Arada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uriel Chica in the 88th minute of play. Chapeto's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
