The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Timoteo Buerga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Sarracino Mayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ticho Varon in the 14th minute of play. Jeronimo Corroto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esquipula Chasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. With a little luck, CLUB ATLETICO NACIONAL's Sarracino Mayo got control of the ball when Platon Sobrino tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 43rd minute Ticho Varon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sarracino Mayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vasco Modet hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Timoteo Buerga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Jeronimo Corroto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Guillelmus Valbuena's late challenge caught a CLUB ATLETICO NACIONAL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillelmus Valbuena helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd match minute, Turuyaco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillelmus Valbuena to maneuver through the defense. Sarracino Mayo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 80th minute Platon Sobrino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sarracino Mayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Vasco Modet fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CLUB ATLETICO NACIONAL's protests and gave Vasco Modet a yellow card for diving instead. Vasco Modet kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match.
