In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vasquez FC's goalkeeper Sayvion Gamarra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Amayarco FC's goalkeeper Piorno Aviles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felo Basaran. After having played for 13 minutes, Virgilio Fanego managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasquez FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgilio Fanego was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Felo Basaran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Amayarco FC's Gotzon Bracho got a free kick in the 16th minute. Javiero Sancibrao hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Mirande Menocal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jakue Sarria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sayvion Gamarra having to interfere. Piorno Aviles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Fanego in the 28th minute of the match. Mirande Menocal scored 0-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sayvion Gamarra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Amayarco FC's Mirande Menocal got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Javiero Sancibrao during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Amayarco FC booed when Vasquez FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javiero Sancibrao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lorenzo Landeras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Sayvion Gamarra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When Vasquez FC's Virgilio Fanego in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felo Basaran in the 67th minute of play forced Amayarco FC's goalkeeper Piorno Aviles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Piorno Aviles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Fanego, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 85th minute Virgilio Fanego shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Piorno Aviles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sayvion Gamarra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mirande Menocal in the 86th minute of play. Aristides Lopes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Piorno Aviles having to make a save. Piorno Aviles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Fanego, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Piorno Aviles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Fanego in the 93rd minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Amayarco FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
