But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciceron Aumente couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the match, Protocolo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Prudentio Aragon came free, but Ikatz Valdecañas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ikatz Valdecañas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prudentio Aragon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the game, Garcia Hilari was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CARIOCAS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Protocolo FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, CARIOCAS's Garcia Hilari got a free kick in the 31st minute. Protocolo FC's Ikatz Valdecañas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciceron Aumente in the 40th minute of play. Ciceron Aumente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ikatz Valdecañas having to interfere. After 48 minutes of play Protocolo FC's Ceferino Villate was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Protocolo FC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Ceferino Villate hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Garin Albarellos was the one to do the kick off.
