Luix Armentia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zelipe Mazorra having to interfere. Hipolito Tufiño hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Melchor Lombera struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Zelipe Mazorra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arroyon FC. After having played for 23 minutes, Caton Olveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marquez FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caton Olveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zelipe Mazorra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luix Armentia in the 29th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Feliz Salcedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Arroyon FC's Melchor Lombera sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zelipe Mazorra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Feliz Salcedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marquez FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Feliz Salcedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Seme Senqui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Seme Senqui didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 44th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Melchor Lombera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Zelipe Mazorra made a huge save. Luix Armentia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zelipe Mazorra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Arroyon FC's Rosalio Ledrado got a free kick in the 75th minute. After some careless play in the Arroyon FC defense, Feliz Salcedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Seme Senqui. The Arroyon FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Seme Senqui should have stopped the shot. Arroyon FC's Seme Senqui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orzaize Veloso in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luix Armentia in the 85th minute of play forced Marquez FC's goalkeeper Zelipe Mazorra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Marquez FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luix Armentia fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Marquez FC's Caton Olveira got a free kick in the 95th minute. 97 minutes into the game, Caton Olveira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marquez FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arroyon FC the free kick. In the 97th minute, Caton Olveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 98 minutes into the match, Arroyon FC's Alberto Andrino broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
