Bonaire's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marquez FC the free kick. Alfredo Marquina hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. If Feliz Salcedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Feliz Salcedo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Lucas Peñacastillo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Bonaire getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Alfredo Marquina hit a great ball. In the 17th minute Orzaize Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Peñacastillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orzaize Veloso in the 23rd minute of play forced Bonaire's goalkeeper Lucas Peñacastillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hipolito Cabada hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. A collision led to Bonaire getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Alfredo Marquina hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Cerrillo in the 31st minute of play forced Marquez FC's goalkeeper Zelipe Mazorra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alessandro Cerrillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zelipe Mazorra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alessandro Cerrillo ran back to his position shaking his head. 44 minutes into the match, Marquez FC's Orzaize Veloso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucas Peñacastillo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orzaize Veloso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Orzaize Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Lucas Peñacastillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliz Salcedo in the 69th minute of play forced Bonaire's goalkeeper Lucas Peñacastillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Peñacastillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orzaize Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Amador Arizcun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zelipe Mazorra having to make a save. When Amador Arizcun came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Bonaire fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amador Arizcun couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Marquez FC's zone, Amador Arizcun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zelipe Mazorra came out of the goal and Amador Arizcun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alessandro Cerrillo got free with Zelipe Mazorra in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zelipe Mazorra was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Amador Arizcun capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amador Arizcun really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Mauricio Belmonte charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauricio Belmonte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Mauricio Belmonte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bonaire's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
