Viterbo's Orain Vialpando got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Beat Coracera left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Viterbo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ramos Doria kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Orain Vialpando ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beltran Bentisca was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Beltran Bentisca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orain Vialpando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viterbo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adrio Obaya in the 39th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Lucila Bayon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Viterbo's Guaberto Querendil got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 46th minute Servando Millan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucila Bayon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Servando Millan to make the kick off. The supporters of Viterbo booed when Mesopotamia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xuaco Navas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beltran Bentisca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beat Coracera in the 53rd minute. Orain Vialpando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beltran Bentisca having to interfere. When Marin Meldasgoas came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Mesopotamia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marin Meldasgoas couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute, Servando Millan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lucila Bayon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Servando Millan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ostots Elenes fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Viterbo's protests and gave Ostots Elenes a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Viterbo's Ostots Elenes got a free kick in the 69th minute. Viterbo's Lucila Bayon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marin Meldasgoas in the 72nd minute of play. Beltran Bentisca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beat Coracera in the 74th minute. Lucila Bayon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Meldasgoas in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to Viterbo getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ostots Elenes hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Servando Millan in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucila Bayon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Mesopotamia FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Mingo Fonseca hit a great ball. Servando Millan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 93rd match minute, Viterbo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Querendil to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the match, Mesopotamia FC's Marin Meldasgoas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucila Bayon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Mesopotamia FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Viterbo's performance. The match ended with a win for Viterbo.
