Jorge Arnaez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ximenez Fanego, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Xanti Sobero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gil Bendicho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joam Zaldivar having to interfere. The supporters of Mateguana FC booed when Guacas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Gabriel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Guacas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Estebe Falavarte to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Abel Ester sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Guacas FC's Joam Zaldivar didn't even have to move. Eleazar Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gil Bendicho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joam Zaldivar having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Pudes Herezuelo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guacas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mateguana FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Guacas FC's Pudes Herezuelo got a free kick in the 29th minute. During the 30th minute of the match Pudes Herezuelo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pudes Herezuelo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 31st minute, Pudes Herezuelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eleazar Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute Gil Bendicho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joam Zaldivar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mateguana FC's Eleazar Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gil Bendicho to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleazar Rocha in the 51st minute of play forced Guacas FC's goalkeeper Joam Zaldivar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eleazar Rocha struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Joam Zaldivar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mateguana FC. After having played for 57 minutes, Perutxo Cora managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guacas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perutxo Cora was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Arnaez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ximenez Fanego in the 58th minute. Perutxo Cora struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Jorge Arnaez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guacas FC. In the 62nd minute, Emiliano Cena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Mateguana FC's zone, Ximenez Fanego stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Arnaez came out of the goal and Ximenez Fanego tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Perutxo Cora got free with Jorge Arnaez in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Montay Mayen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Arnaez having to interfere. If Eleazar Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gil Bendicho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joam Zaldivar having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Gil Bendicho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mateguana FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Mateguana FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
