The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Flor Rejon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zoil Sorriva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 6th minute Zoil Sorriva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desire Urueña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leocadio Rebolledo hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Teresinha FC's zone, Zoil Sorriva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Desire Urueña came out of the goal and Zoil Sorriva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Teresinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zoil Sorriva came free, but Desire Urueña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th match minute, Teresinha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baleren Tramontes to maneuver through the defense. Teresinha FC's Desire Urueña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flor Rejon in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, AleJohn's Boni Paniagua got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Teresinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zoil Sorriva came free, but Desire Urueña reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Teresinha FC's Enrique Briseño got a free kick in the 26th minute. Zoil Sorriva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desire Urueña having to interfere. The supporters of AleJohn booed when Teresinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Montel Olaisola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leocadio Rebolledo hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the game, AleJohn's Flor Rejon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Desire Urueña made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After the first half AleJohn were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Flor Rejon was the one to do the kick off. Zoil Sorriva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Zoil Sorriva fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Desire Urueña, passed just outside the right post. 66 minutes into the match, Flor Rejon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Desire Urueña, 0-4. 71 minutes into the game, Reyes Cullar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AleJohn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Teresinha FC the free kick. After 71 played minutes AleJohn got a freekick which was hit by Reyes Cullar. Aldomiro Andrade stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Montel Olaisola's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Matro Herbon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldomiro Andrade having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Montel Olaisola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aldomiro Andrade was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. In the 83rd minute Flor Rejon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desire Urueña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 1-4 became the score in the 85th minute when Montel Olaisola elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flor Rejon in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Desire Urueña prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Desire Urueña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flor Rejon, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Zoil Sorriva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Desire Urueña made a huge save. Zoil Sorriva struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Desire Urueña didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AleJohn.
