Venceslas Azcarate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiso Mesones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Tiso Mesones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orlanda Coria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislao Brau having to interfere. Stanislao Brau made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adalberto Caloca in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 51st minute, Lizardi Joara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rio Mutiloa kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Tiso Mesones's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Venceslas Azcarate firmly grabbed it by the left post. One of Corona:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Millonarios FC:s goal. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Millonarios FC. Flavio Osorio stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Stanislao Brau. 3-1. Tiso Mesones recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orlanda Coria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stanislao Brau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Corona's goal looked a bit too open when Orlanda Coria came free, but Stanislao Brau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corona's Tiso Mesones was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 95th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 99th minute, Eleazar Monsagrati hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Millonarios FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
