When Saname FC's Chabier Albo in 5 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Matai Villacanes guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 9th minute Chabier Albo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matai Villacanes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Chabier Albo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matai Villacanes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chabier Albo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sansone Saracho's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Matai Villacanes firmly grabbed it by the left post. Nisio Callergos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Procopio Fonelleda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute Chabier Albo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matai Villacanes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Saname FC's Chabier Albo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matai Villacanes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Sansone Saracho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Matai Villacanes made a huge save. Matai Villacanes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chabier Albo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nisio Callergos in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Procopio Fonelleda saved Saname FC from getting behind. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal FC's goalkeeper Matai Villacanes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

52 minutes into the game, Jabier Muños was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saname FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portugal FC the free kick. 54 minutes into the match, Saname FC's goalkeeper Procopio Fonelleda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adalberto Manglano. The supporters of Portugal FC booed when Saname FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gora Jubera didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 62 minutes, Christiano Cases mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saname FC and the Portugal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st minute, one of Saname FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Saname FC. Matthew Engraba walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 65th minute, Adalberto Manglano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Procopio Fonelleda was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Matai Villacanes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sansone Saracho in the 69th minute of play. Matai Villacanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chabier Albo in the 76th minute of the match. Portugal FC's Matai Villacanes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sansone Saracho in the 79th minute of play. After some careless play in the Portugal FC defense, Chabier Albo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matai Villacanes. The Portugal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matai Villacanes should have stopped the shot. 3-1 became the score in the 84th minute when Sansone Saracho elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 87th match minute, Saname FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birila Placencia to maneuver through the defense. Procopio Fonelleda was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Matthew Engraba. If Nisio Callergos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Adalberto Manglano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adalberto Manglano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Procopio Fonelleda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Sansone Saracho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Portugal FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Saname FC.
