Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Venceslao Canonega got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rdth minute of the game Loco Avalos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santafe's Xamo Buison was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Xamo Buison made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Barreto in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Segio Gamones in the 6th minute of play forced Santafe's goalkeeper Xamo Buison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urbano Silvestri charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Urbano Silvestri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th minute, Urbano Silvestri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Barreto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, Xamo Buison skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 11th minute, Fermin Mayen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Canalete's goal looked a bit too open when Venceslao Canonega came free, but Cresitobalo Vilafranca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fermin Mayen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Santafe booed when Canalete was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loco Avalos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Canalete's Loco Avalos got a free kick in the 18th minute. Ordono Manzanares was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 18th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Venceslao Canonega struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Cresitobalo Vilafranca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santafe. Venceslao Canonega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Segio Gamones recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute, Santafe's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Segio Gamones fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Venceslao Canonega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Cresitobalo Vilafranca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Erauzquin during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Santafe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Erauzquin to maneuver through the defense. Canalete's Gaudencio Dolmos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Santafe. After recieving a nice pass, Santafe's Ordono Manzanares tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Venceslao Canonega's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cresitobalo Vilafranca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Cresitobalo Vilafranca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fermin Mayen in the 42nd minute of the match. Segio Gamones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Xamo Buison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Segio Gamones was the one to do the kick off. Segio Gamones scored 1-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xamo Buison, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Canalete getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Zavier Prellezo hit a great ball. When Fermin Mayen came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Santafe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fermin Mayen couldn't finish the play. Xamo Buison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segio Gamones, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. If Fermin Mayen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Santafe's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Barreto came free, but Xamo Buison reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Segio Gamones got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Segio Gamones had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xamo Buison. Santafe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Segio Gamones was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Venceslao Canonega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cresitobalo Vilafranca having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Endura Esquivel during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th match minute, Canalete was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Endura Esquivel to maneuver through the defense.
