After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Loco Avalos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canalete's supporters rose to their feet, but Loco Avalos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Firme Lupidana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cueva's Firme Lupidana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Cueva from getting a goal against them. Cresitobalo Vilafranca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pes Arguiz's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Firme Lupidana didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 14th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. After 18 minutes, Montez Alday mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cueva and the Canalete players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Cueva:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Canalete:s goal. 23 minutes into the match, Pes Arguiz notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Canalete's Cresitobalo Vilafranca. Cresitobalo Vilafranca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pes Arguiz's late challenge caught a Canalete's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pes Arguiz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th match minute, Cueva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pes Arguiz to maneuver through the defense. The attack was good, but when Segio Gamones in the 31st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. With splendid footwork Segio Gamones arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-1 by the left pole in the game's 33rd minute. In the 36th match minute, Cueva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oriol Niño to maneuver through the defense. Loco Avalos kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Miguel Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Segio Gamones to make the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pes Arguiz couldn't finish the play. After 54 minutes, Endura Esquivel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canalete and the Cueva players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 54 played minutes Canalete got a freekick which was hit by Endura Esquivel. In the 58th minute, Segio Gamones got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Canalete's zone, Pes Arguiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cresitobalo Vilafranca came out of the goal and Pes Arguiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Segio Gamones's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Firme Lupidana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Fernanco Suazos short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Cresitobalo Vilafranca to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 72 minutes, Loco Avalos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canalete and the Cueva players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cueva booed when Canalete was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loco Avalos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Canalete's Segio Gamones nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Firme Lupidana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. With a little luck, Canalete's Cresitobalo Vilafranca got control of the ball when Fernanco Suazo tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Miguel Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Segio Gamones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
