Olentzaro Mayoral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Urbasa Abin's late challenge caught a Rayo Vallecano de Madrid's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Urbasa Abin helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rayo Vallecano de Madrid booed when Tacasaluma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbasa Abin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eztebe Larrañaga hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the match, Rayo Vallecano de Madrid's goal looked a bit too open when Quique Proenza came free, but Vito Tornero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harri Ansola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olentzaro Mayoral in the 34th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olentzaro Mayoral in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harri Ansola saved Tacasaluma from getting behind. Vito Tornero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quique Proenza in the 37th minute of the match. If Olentzaro Mayoral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tacasaluma's Harri Ansola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Tacasaluma from getting a goal against them. If Gauargi Salazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Quique Proenza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vito Tornero. Rayo Vallecano de Madrid's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Quique Proenza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olentzaro Mayoral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rayo Vallecano de Madrid's Vito Tornero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quique Proenza in the 75th minute of play. In the 75thth minute of the game Quique Proenza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rayo Vallecano de Madrid's Vito Tornero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Harri Ansola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harold Preciado, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After 81 minutes, Tonete Villavedon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rayo Vallecano de Madrid and the Tacasaluma players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st match minute, Rayo Vallecano de Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tonete Villavedon to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Quique Proenza in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vito Tornero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vito Tornero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quique Proenza in the 85th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Harold Preciado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rayo Vallecano de Madrid's supporters rose to their feet, but Harold Preciado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harri Ansola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zuri Binel's late challenge caught a Rayo Vallecano de Madrid's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zuri Binel helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tacasaluma's Zuri Binel got a free kick in the 90th minute. During the 93rd minute of the match Tonete Villavedon completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tonete Villavedon a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 94th minute, Tonete Villavedon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gauargi Salazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito Tornero having to interfere. Rayo Vallecano de Madrid's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
