Boniel Iribarne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lope Vinuesa in the 13th minute of the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Lope Vinuesa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chicho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lope Vinuesa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuel Carrizo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ximenes Mendez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Berbiz Menocals short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Samuel Carrizo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 19th minute Lope Vinuesa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boniel Iribarne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Chicho FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Berbiz Menocal fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 23 minutes, Mitxel Paba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chicho FC and the Varsovia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mitxel Paba hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After 28 played minutes, Varsovia FC's Cilio Landeras shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Samuel Carrizo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Varsovia FC reached it. Ximenes Mendez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Carrizo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Ximenes Mendez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Varsovia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ximenes Mendez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Carrizo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 43 played minutes Chicho FC got a freekick which was hit by Mitxel Paba. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ximenes Mendez to make the kick off. Samuel Carrizo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ximenes Mendez's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Samuel Carrizo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berbiz Menocal in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Varsovia FC's goalkeeper Boniel Iribarne had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lope Vinuesa. After a defensive mix-up in Varsovia FC's zone, Arnulfo Fuenmayor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boniel Iribarne came out of the goal and Arnulfo Fuenmayor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Arnulfo Fuenmayor came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Chicho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnulfo Fuenmayor couldn't finish the play. After having played for 66 minutes, Ximenes Mendez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boniel Iribarne made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Lope Vinuesa sent off a good shot on target. Varsovia FC had won after a very even match.
