Lerma's Claude Beysama proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Lerma from getting a goal against them. When Eufemio Viya fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lerma's protests and gave Eufemio Viya a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th minute, Eufemio Viya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Lerma's goalkeeper Claude Beysama had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xabel Roa. Kiliz Galantia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dunixi Caselles hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Lerma's Claude Beysama played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kiliz Galantia in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Eufemio Viya made the kick off in the second half. Cristian Capellan made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Goizeder Corisco sent off a good shot on target. Claude Beysama showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kiliz Galantia, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Medina FC's Xabel Roa got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Goizeder Corisco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lerma's Goizeder Corisco got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Lerma getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Goizeder Corisco hit a great ball. Claude Beysama took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kiliz Galantia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kiliz Galantia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Claude Beysama tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eufemio Viya hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The Medina FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
