The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Guardanelos's goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Lucio came free, but Gilberto Balsera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6thth minute of the game Mundo Pachistre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guardanelos's Gilberto Balsera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Guardanelos's Gilberto Balsera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mundo Pachistre in the 7th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Mundo Pachistre had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilberto Balsera. Guardanelos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mundo Pachistre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 12th minute, Donostia Resco reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jerico Castellvi. The goal made the score 1-1. If Mundo Pachistre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernebe Ricote kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Gilberto Balsera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mundo Pachistre's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. The supporters of Liverpool booed when Guardanelos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celipe Tuñon didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Liverpool's Mundo Pachistre in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guardanelos's goalie prevented a goal. 30 minutes into the match, Guardanelos's goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Lucio came free, but Gilberto Balsera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Goveo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Gilberto Balsera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Liverpool fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Liverpool's Mundo Pachistre looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 46th minute, Diego Camacho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donostia Resco was the one to do the kick off. Gilberto Balsera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mundo Pachistre in the 52nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mundo Pachistre in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilberto Balsera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gilberto Balsera came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Liverpool's Celedonio Lucio. But to his dismay, Celedonio Lucio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Mundo Pachistre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xavon Herrada struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Gilberto Balsera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liverpool. 89 minutes into the game, Augusto Goveo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liverpool's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guardanelos the free kick. In the 89th minute, Augusto Goveo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Celedonio Lucio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gilberto Balsera, 1-5. Liverpool's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
