The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bartolo's goalkeeper Diegotxe Torrealba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. From a short distance, Bartolo's Eladio Ronda, in the 7th minute, tried to place the ball behind Cruz Sisalde, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. In the 10th minute, Gustavo Villamizar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute of the match Xines Olmos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diegotxe Torrealba showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Serafo Illanes struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Diegotxe Torrealba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El piso es guaracha pa. El piso es guaracha pa's Goncalve Guiza got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bartolo's Diegotxe Torrealba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafo Illanes in the 32nd minute of play. Diegotxe Torrealba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Goncalve Guiza in the 36th minute of play. Fernendo Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Cruz Sisalde acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 40th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tabb Caceo. Bartolo's Diegotxe Torrealba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafo Illanes in the 42nd minute of play. Cruz Sisalde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eladio Ronda in the 44th minute of play. Beti Urruchi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cruz Sisalde. El piso es guaracha pa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eladio Ronda was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lizardi Hornos in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cruz Sisalde saved El piso es guaracha pa from getting behind. After 71 minutes, Adrian Xixons mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El piso es guaracha pa and the Bartolo players grew even worse after the yellow card. 71 minutes into the game, one of El piso es guaracha pa:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Serafo Illanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 85th minute, Xines Olmos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eladio Ronda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Cruz Sisalde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Serafo Illanes might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diegotxe Torrealba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Serafo Illanes ran back to his position shaking his head.
