Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Nemesio Alacan made the kick off and thus started the match. After a defensive mix-up in Athletic FC's zone, Sengrat Egas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Americo Albiz came out of the goal and Sengrat Egas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 6th minute of the match, Leon Pradias tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Americo Albiz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Nemesio Alacan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute Montrell Muga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Liviano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nemesio Alacan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Liviano having to interfere. Mecana's Alvaro Liviano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Montrell Muga in the 27th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Athletic FC got a freekick which was hit by Edur Asas. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Americo Albiz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Montrell Muga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Liviano having to interfere. After 36 minutes of play, Athletic FC's Nemesio Alacan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alvaro Liviano was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Athletic FC! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leon Pradias to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Mecana's goalkeeper Alvaro Liviano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Montrell Muga. Americo Albiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sengrat Egas, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Sengrat Egas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leon Pradias in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Americo Albiz saved Athletic FC from getting behind. If Berasko Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Athletic FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mendiko Argamasilla was slow to take the kick. During this time Mecana's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Mecana's Mendiko Argamasilla to fire away a dangerous shot which Americo Albiz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Americo Albiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sengrat Egas in the 72nd minute of the match. Sengrat Egas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Americo Albiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Pradias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sengrat Egas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80 played minutes Athletic FC got a freekick which was hit by Edur Asas. The audience was convinced that Leon Pradias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Americo Albiz was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sengrat Egas in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Americo Albiz saved Athletic FC from getting behind. Leon Pradias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leon Pradias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Americo Albiz having to interfere. Sengrat Egas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
