After a defensive mix-up in Zarate FC's zone, Fero Saboya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Estevon Gorostieta came out of the goal and Fero Saboya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victorino Mandelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 63 minutes of play, Zarate FC's Baldomiro Polla made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. With an extended leg and a bit of luck August Häger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gora Cuaron in the 76th minute of play forced Estanque FC's goalkeeper August Häger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bernabel Aumada fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estanque FC's protests and gave Bernabel Aumada a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Estanque FC's Bernabel Aumada got a free kick in the 78th minute. Ixaka Rasines was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 79th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gora Cuaron in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg August Häger saved Estanque FC from getting behind.
