Rigoberto Zubillaga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilesindo Morata in the 4th minute. In the 10th minute, Lizbeth Mazarredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luken Elicegui stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matei Arrugueta's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Lizzone's Matei Arrugueta got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lizbeth Mazarredo's late challenge caught a Obligado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lizbeth Mazarredo helped the player get up and apologised. 22 minutes into the match, Lizzone's goalkeeper Rigoberto Zubillaga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilesindo Morata. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Berart Albaratay took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Rigoberto Zubillaga to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oswaldo Oquendo to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matei Arrugueta in the 54th minute of play forced Obligado's goalkeeper Luken Elicegui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Obligado's Berart Albaratay got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 57 played minutes Lizzone got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Santiago. 58 minutes into the match, Obligado's Jaunti Ceceil broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 65th play minutes Perez Padin shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Luken Elicegui and just under the crossbar into goal. Teofilo Valdivielso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luken Elicegui came out and tried to block the shot, but Teofilo Valdivielso slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 68th minute. 72 minutes into the game, Obligado's Oswaldo Oquendo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rigoberto Zubillaga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 77 minutes into the game, Matei Arrugueta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lizzone's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Obligado the free kick. After 77 played minutes Lizzone got a freekick which was hit by Matei Arrugueta. 78 minutes into the game, Obligado's Oswaldo Oquendo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rigoberto Zubillaga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. In the 81st minute, Nelio Ovejas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rigoberto Zubillaga was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. In the 87th match minute, Lizzone was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Guiral to maneuver through the defense. Rigoberto Zubillaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswaldo Oquendo in the 90th minute of the match. Perez Padin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Matei Arrugueta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, Obligado could leave the field as winners, despite Lizzone having more of the ball for most of the match.
