Salvatore Castellanos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cefero Maneiro in the 8th minute of the match. After 15 played minutes Arizona got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Varo.. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cisco Morillas in the 17th minute of play forced Arizona's goalkeeper Salvatore Castellanos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugenio Matuta made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Luciano Ariztimuño sent off a good shot on target. Yutao's Eugenio Matuta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Yutao from getting a goal against them. Nacho Artache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Yutao getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Duarte Notes hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cefero Maneiro made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Ariztimuño in the 54th minute of play forced Yutao's goalkeeper Eugenio Matuta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Refugio Robres made a great header on Arizona's corner, it was just that Yutao's Eugenio Matuta managed to reach the ball for a save. Nacho Artache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Eugenio Matuta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salvatore Castellanos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yutao. Nacho Artache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Matuta having to interfere.
