Cuchara's Gomez Rodero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Cuchara from getting a goal against them. Marengo FC's Etxahun Muriedas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pello Mediavilla in the 18th minute of play. Christiano Tegerina kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Pello Mediavilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Marengo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernanco Fuentes came free, but Etxahun Muriedas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Marengo FC defense, Pello Mediavilla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Etxahun Muriedas. The Marengo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Etxahun Muriedas should have stopped the shot. Etxahun Muriedas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pello Mediavilla in the 33rd minute of the match. If Fernanco Fuentes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36thth minute of the game Pello Mediavilla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marengo FC's Etxahun Muriedas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aloisio Castaños in the 38th minute of play forced Cuchara's goalkeeper Gomez Rodero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christiano Tegerina hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After 41 played minutes, Cuchara's Serapio Uria shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Etxahun Muriedas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cuchara reached it. Aloisio Castaños hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Aloisio Castaños made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Marengo FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Christiano Tegerina hit a great ball. Etxahun Muriedas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pello Mediavilla in the 55th minute of play. Cosme Figueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gomez Rodero having to interfere. Fernanco Fuentes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Etxahun Muriedas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 61st minute, Cosme Figueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gomez Rodero was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Aloisio Castaños recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aloisio Castaños sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the match, Marengo FC's goalkeeper Etxahun Muriedas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernanco Fuentes. In the 74th minute, Aloisio Castaños hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marengo FC's Etxahun Muriedas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Marengo FC from getting a goal against them. Etxahun Muriedas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernanco Fuentes in the 85th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Marengo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pello Mediavilla came free, but Etxahun Muriedas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Marengo FC's Melchor Cimbrelo got a free kick in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes into the match, Fernanco Fuentes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Etxahun Muriedas. Marengo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernanco Fuentes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Cosme Figueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Gomez Rodero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
