Rioja Lecanda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Licerio Gamboa in the 4th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mogel Santibañez in the 5th minute of play forced Picado's goalkeeper Rioja Lecanda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Real Frontera booed when Picado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cris Ezquerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Licerio Gamboa spun around in front of the goal 14 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Picado's goal. A collision led to Picado getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Justo Labaja hit a great ball. When Licerio Gamboa came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Real Frontera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Licerio Gamboa couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabirel Seseña got free with Lesardo Arizabalo in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gabrio Lijarco charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabrio Lijarco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mogel Santibañez got free with Rioja Lecanda in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mogel Santibañez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rioja Lecanda having to interfere. Mogel Santibañez might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rioja Lecanda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mogel Santibañez ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mogel Santibañez during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 91st minute, Duarte Calvo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Picado supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Real Frontera's performance. The match ended with a win for Real Frontera.
