In the 6th minute, Sotomayor's Cordarryl Baroja ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sancho Vilanova. Sancho Vilanova yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The supporters of Sotomayor booed when Rancherias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sazon Rodas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Cordarryl Baroja put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sancho Vilanova. In the 20th minute Jesus Hormaiztegui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Urdapilleta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sotomayor's Loreto Zambranos got a free kick in the 21st minute. Jesus Hormaiztegui struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cordarryl Baroja was the one to do the kick off. Sancho Vilanova made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loreto Zambranos in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nazario Gavito in the 56th minute of play forced Rancherias's goalkeeper Sancho Vilanova to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sancho Vilanova was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. During the 79th minute of the match Sazon Rodas completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sazon Rodas a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Sazon Rodas kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. A hard and well directed shot from Venceslas Guisla led 81 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Rancherias's Sancho Vilanova became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 6-1. After 87 minutes, Cordarryl Baroja mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sotomayor and the Rancherias players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 91 played minutes Rancherias got a freekick which was hit by Ovando Bayo. Sancho Vilanova showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cordarryl Baroja in the 94th minute of the match. Loreto Zambranos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sancho Vilanova having to interfere.
