In the 12th minute Clodoveo Rujido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jakobe Duran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 played minutes Cotapli got a freekick which was hit by Pablo-Enrique Amezua. Vitor Huerga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Maluenda having to interfere. Lordi Cabrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Tiago Maluenda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Guayabala's Vitor Huerga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiago Maluenda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Anselmo Favalis kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Cotapli's Ler Valer tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Clodoveo Rujido made a precise shot to the right of Jakobe Duran. Guayabala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 31st minute Vitor Huerga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Maluenda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Cotapli getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Pablo-Enrique Amezua hit a great ball. Lordi Cabrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Tiago Maluenda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cotapli's goalkeeper Tiago Maluenda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guayabala's Vitor Huerga was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 40th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Guayabala's Lordi Cabrera got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Turi Arratia was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Lordi Cabrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Maluenda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Guayabala booed when Cotapli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo-Enrique Amezua didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cotapli's Tiago Maluenda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitor Huerga in the 56th minute of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Vitor Huerga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guayabala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitor Huerga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Lordi Cabrera, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 60 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Tiago Maluenda was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Clodoveo Rujido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago Maluenda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitor Huerga, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Vitor Huerga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Maluenda having to interfere. Lordi Cabrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago Maluenda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lordi Cabrera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Vitor Huerga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Turi Arratia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Jakobe Duran made a huge save.
