The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Iker Escarraz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Zacarias Veragua was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 7 minutes into the match, Urania's Chago Cadorniga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Justin Villandiego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 9 minutes of play, Cocalito FC's Iker Escarraz made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zacarias Veragua was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cocalito FC's goalkeeper Justin Villandiego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 18 played minutes, Cocalito FC's Emiliano Alacan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zacarias Veragua came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cocalito FC reached it. Samuel Guiu kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Roque Taranco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roque Taranco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zacarias Veragua having to interfere. Colon Ulloa placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Arnaldo Tineo charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnaldo Tineo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cocalito FC booed when Urania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Tineo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roque Taranco struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Zacarias Veragua didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cocalito FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roque Taranco in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zacarias Veragua saved Urania from getting behind. 34 minutes in the game, Quique Herrero fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Justin Villandiego having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Justin Villandiego successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Quique Herrero was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Cocalito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Quique Herrero came free, but Justin Villandiego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes into the game, Aureo Depino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bastiaro Ariste charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bastiaro Ariste the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Iker Escarraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rencio Iturralde came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Cocalito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rencio Iturralde couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute, Cocalito FC's Roque Taranco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zacarias Veragua. Zacarias Veragua yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. After a rather tough play, Urania's Henrique Vuelva got a free kick in the 84th minute. If Iker Escarraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Urania's zone, Iker Escarraz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zacarias Veragua came out of the goal and Iker Escarraz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, Colon Ulloa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Henrique Vuelva came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Urania fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrique Vuelva couldn't finish the play. The Cocalito FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
