When Cate's Jatsu Oliba in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pivigui FC's goalie prevented a goal. Gaspar Liviano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilmar Gallaiztegui having to interfere. Gilmar Gallaiztegui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Liviano in the 26th minute of play. If Joseph Carnicero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-0 became the score in the 29th minute when Gaspar Liviano elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gaspar Liviano struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Gilmar Gallaiztegui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pivigui FC. 34 minutes into the match, Pivigui FC's Joseph Carnicero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilmar Gallaiztegui narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Joseph Carnicero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pivigui FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joseph Carnicero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaspar Liviano was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Oliverio Velandia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pivigui FC's Ulises Cora was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joseph Carnicero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Gilmar Gallaiztegui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 2-0 became the score in the 62nd minute when Gaspar Liviano elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cate's goalkeeper Gilmar Gallaiztegui, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jatsu Oliba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulises Cora read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Oliverio Velandia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ulises Cora. Oliverio Velandia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Jose Amundarain hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Osoro Somellera took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gilmar Gallaiztegui. Cate's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 87th minute, Joseph Carnicero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Benino Guate fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cate's protests and gave Benino Guate a yellow card for diving instead. After 92 played minutes Cate got a freekick which was hit by Benino Guate. Cate's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
