Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Carlos Cueva started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Paquito Camilo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vennancio Barrera having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paquito Camilo got free with Vennancio Barrera in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pastor Bertiz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Formerio Taracena's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Aurre Queipo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vennancio Barrera having to interfere. In the 17thth minute of the game Carlos Cueva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vapor's Pastor Bertiz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Beturian Olozaga hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. If Formerio Taracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Cueva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Pastor Bertiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Formerio Taracena notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Vapor's Pastor Bertiz. Pastor Bertiz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ladio Baranda charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ladio Baranda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th match minute, Matamoros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ladio Baranda to maneuver through the defense. Vennancio Barrera made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Paquito Camilo sent off a good shot on target. Sabino Balines hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the match, Vapor's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Cueva came free, but Pastor Bertiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Aurre Queipo made the kick off in the second half. Matamoros's Vennancio Barrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurre Queipo in the 54th minute of play. Ladio Baranda hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, Aurre Queipo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vennancio Barrera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurre Queipo in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vennancio Barrera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Matamoros's Ladio Baranda got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Carlos Cueva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th play minute Formerio Taracena came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Pastor Bertiz. 2-2. If Aurre Queipo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paquito Camilo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vennancio Barrera having to interfere. Vennancio Barrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurre Queipo in the 92nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paquito Camilo in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vennancio Barrera saved Matamoros from getting behind. When Carlos Cueva came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Matamoros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Cueva couldn't finish the play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
