Lara's Maurilio Marsol got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Matituy's goal looked a bit too open when Roldan Morros came free, but Bruno Lubiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Papo Herrea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Octavio Echaez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Juan Sudupe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luciano Torrescassana made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Matituy's zone, Luciano Torrescassana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Lubiano came out of the goal and Luciano Torrescassana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roldan Morros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Bruno Lubiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matituy's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
