Quin Murias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ariando Varioz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zigor Ayerza in the 9th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Emanuel Aberasturi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ariando Varioz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 16th match minute, Valencia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gervasio Lucas to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the game, Quin Murias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Martinez Galdamez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Primitivo Risel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Martinez Galdamez made a huge save. Dagoberto Leyarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martinez Galdamez having to interfere. Ariando Varioz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuel Aberasturi's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. After 32 minutes, Gervasio Lucas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Valencia FC and the Amalfi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Amalfi FC booed when Valencia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervasio Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Valencia FC's Emanuel Aberasturi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ariando Varioz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Quin Murias made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Valencia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Primitivo Risel came free, but Martinez Galdamez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quin Murias in the 54th minute of play forced Valencia FC's goalkeeper Martinez Galdamez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute, Dagoberto Leyarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute, Belarmo Zumalburu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Amalfi FC's Ariando Varioz didn't even have to move. Quin Murias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Martinez Galdamez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ariando Varioz made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Zigor Ayerza sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Valencia FC's zone, Primitivo Risel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martinez Galdamez came out of the goal and Primitivo Risel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute Primitivo Risel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martinez Galdamez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Generosb Elorregui charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Generosb Elorregui the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 72 played minutes Valencia FC got a freekick which was hit by Generosb Elorregui. Quin Murias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Martinez Galdamez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Aberasturi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Zigor Ayerza got free in front of the goal in the 79th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ariando Varioz was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After having played for 87 minutes, Zigor Ayerza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valencia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zigor Ayerza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Quin Murias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
