Llorian Pieres received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Quirce Alzola came out and tried to block the shot, but Llorian Pieres slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. When Roger Añoza came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Gracias fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roger Añoza couldn't finish the play. After 10 played minutes Caiba got a freekick which was hit by Fonda Ozollo. In the 12th match minute, Caiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fonda Ozollo to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Gracias's goal looked a bit too open when Llorian Pieres came free, but Quirce Alzola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Llorian Pieres in the 21st minute of play forced Gracias's goalkeeper Quirce Alzola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Llorian Pieres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caiba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Llorian Pieres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gamus Corel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Añoza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stanislao Ferreiro hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Urdaspal Amo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Quirce Alzola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caiba's Gamus Corel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leobardo Fonte in the 42nd minute of play. In the 48th minute Roger Añoza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gamus Corel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Llorian Pieres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Caiba booed when Gracias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanislao Ferreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Llorian Pieres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th of the match, Leobardo Fonte tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Gamus Corel got in the way and made a wonderful save.
