Cativo FC's Eufrasio Moro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Formerio Cimas in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Deportivo Tolima Ibagué's goalkeeper Gerardo Martines had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandro Corel. Noe Boher struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Eufrasio Moro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Tolima Ibagué. With a little luck, Deportivo Tolima Ibagué's Gerardo Martines got control of the ball when Luis Isern tried to sneak it across the goal line. Deportivo Tolima Ibagué's Gerardo Martines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ponciano Martua in the 27th minute of play. The referee ignored Deportivo Tolima Ibagué's protests and gave Chan Grandas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Deportivo Tolima Ibagué getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Chan Grandas hit a great ball. Chan Grandas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eufrasio Moro having to make a save. Cativo FC's Eufrasio Moro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Goitia in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Luis Isern hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ponciano Martua stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Alexandro Corel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cativo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandro Corel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerardo Martines breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 59 minutes into the match, Deportivo Tolima Ibagué's goal looked a bit too open when Ponciano Martua came free, but Gerardo Martines reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eufrasio Moro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noe Boher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the match, Cativo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Timoteo Goitia came free, but Eufrasio Moro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cativo FC's Luis Isern got a free kick in the 72nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Noe Boher in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eufrasio Moro saved Cativo FC from getting behind. Formerio Cimass short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Eufrasio Moro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Deportivo Tolima Ibagué:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cativo FC:s goal. In the 89th minute Luis Isern shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Martines saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Deportivo Tolima Ibagué defense, Machado Armendariz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerardo Martines. The Deportivo Tolima Ibagué fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerardo Martines should have stopped the shot. Gerardo Martines took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Machado Armendariz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Tolima Ibagué's Chan Grandas got a free kick in the 95th minute. Gerardo Martines showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandro Corel, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Alexandro Corel kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. The Cativo FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
