An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Magdaleno in the 6th minute of play forced Aracua's goalkeeper Estavan Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Anier Castellana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Estavan Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Magdaleno, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ereique's goalkeeper Kinsen Guardamino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santana Lorencio kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Gamus Rios's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Kinsen Guardamino skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ereique's zone, Eugenio Nebot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kinsen Guardamino came out of the goal and Eugenio Nebot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute, Alberto Garces hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute, Ereique's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Eugenio Nebot fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 35 minutes into the match, Ereique's goalkeeper Kinsen Guardamino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gamus Rios. 36 minutes into the game, Ereique's Mariano Magdaleno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Estavan Sanches made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 39 minutes into the game, Iturri Henriquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aracua's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ereique the free kick. After 39 played minutes Aracua got a freekick which was hit by Iturri Henriquez. When Anier Castellana came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Ereique fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anier Castellana couldn't finish the play. Anier Castellana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Estavan Sanches having to interfere. Estavan Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Magdaleno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aracua's Estavan Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Magdaleno in the 48th minute of play.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eugenio Nebot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes Aracua got a freekick which was hit by Gamus Rios. Ereique's Kinsen Guardamino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Nebot in the 65th minute of play. Gamus Rios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 70 played minutes Ereique got a freekick which was hit by Hermelando Momparte. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Eugenio Nebot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aracua's supporters rose to their feet, but Eugenio Nebot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kinsen Guardamino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ereique's Anier Castellana got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ereique's goalkeeper Kinsen Guardamino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Aracua's zone, Anier Castellana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Estavan Sanches came out of the goal and Anier Castellana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iturri Henriquez kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Aracua's goal looked a bit too open when Santana Lorencio came free, but Estavan Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th match minute, Aracua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tercero Carballo to maneuver through the defense. Estavan Sanches didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 97th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. When the match was over Ereique could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Aracua throughout the match.
