Vermudo Lasarte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adolfo Paiz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Quimo FC's Adolfo Paiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vermudo Lasarte in the 13th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Quimo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vermudo Lasarte came free, but Adolfo Paiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Quimo FC's zone, Domeka Checa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Paiz came out of the goal and Domeka Checa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Harriet Froiz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 28th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Xavier Cembrana. If Candido Asturianos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vermudo Lasarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adolfo Paiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domeka Checa, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the game, Nicasio Portochao was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quimo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Urbina the free kick. Nicasio Portochao kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After having played for 42 minutes, Domeka Checa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Urbina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domeka Checa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Quimo FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Sancho Ledo hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the game, Vermudo Lasarte cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Adolfo Paiz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ambrosio Sustaeta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adolfo Paiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vermudo Lasarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the match, Quimo FC's goalkeeper Adolfo Paiz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domeka Checa. If Vermudo Lasarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Quimo FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Itzaina Borica was slow to take the kick. During this time Urbina's players had a chance to rest. Itzaina Borica made a great header on Urbina's corner, it was just that Quimo FC's Adolfo Paiz managed to reach the ball for a save. Vermudo Lasarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Adolfo Paiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vermudo Lasarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Vermudo Lasarte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adolfo Paiz was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Harriet Froiz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Urbina walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
