Maijia FC's Erubiel Leiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mitxel Vicuña in the 9th minute of play. Erubiel Leiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mitxel Vicuña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mitxel Vicuña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leo Faubelo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erubiel Leiro having to make a save. After 17 played minutes Maijia FC got a freekick which was hit by Blai Caviedes. The supporters of Guajayare booed when Maijia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blai Caviedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Guajayare's Salvadore Piñon tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Alejandro Barba took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Xurdin Asturianos to make any attempt to save it. In the 29th match minute, Guajayare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patxi Tejeria to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Maijia FC's Erubiel Rincon got a free kick in the 30th minute. Mitxel Vicuña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Erubiel Leiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Erubiel Leiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mitxel Vicuña in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 played minutes Maijia FC got a freekick which was hit by Blai Caviedes. After a defensive mix-up in Guajayare's zone, Frantxizko Estefania stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xurdin Asturianos came out of the goal and Frantxizko Estefania tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
