Osasun Bolivar came out of the goal and Sergi Solier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vachon Abeita was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Llanos Taramona showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. A collision led to Monterrey FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Xose Huemen hit a great ball. Xose Huemen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fliz Oceta struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Xose Huemen in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Osasun Bolivar, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vachon Abeita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fliz Oceta in the 70th minute of play. After 72 minutes of play, Monterrey FC's Xose Huemen made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Guasguas reached it. The supporters of Guasguas booed when Monterrey FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldo Tortoles didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Monterrey FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 91 minutes into the match, Guasguas's goalkeeper Osasun Bolivar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xose Huemen. In the 93rd minute of the match Luis Conchas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vachon Abeita skillfully saved the ball. Llanos Taramona struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Vachon Abeita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guasguas. In the 97th minute, Monterrey FC's Damian Robleda seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Damian Robleda the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Monterrey FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Damian Robleda had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 97th minute of the game. One of Monterrey FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Guasguas:s goal. Guasguas were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
