Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Guacaparo's Pacho Montemayor started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Guacaparo defense, Tulio Arizmendez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luciano Caviedes. The Guacaparo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luciano Caviedes should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tulio Arizmendez in the 6th minute of play forced Guacaparo's goalkeeper Luciano Caviedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th match minute, Guacaparo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Pereira to maneuver through the defense. Tulio Arizmendez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Luciano Caviedes made a huge save. Cedro Calvete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Caviedes having to interfere. Luciano Caviedes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cedro Calvete, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Havier Cortadelles charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Havier Cortadelles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Havier Cortadelles hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. A collision led to Vetecual getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Patxi Mesonero hit a great ball. 24 minutes into the match, Vetecual's goal looked a bit too open when Pacho Montemayor came free, but Laurentzi Clas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tulio Arizmendez struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Luciano Caviedes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vetecual. 34 minutes into the game, one of Vetecual:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 35th minute, Castel Caval left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Guacaparo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Tulio Arizmendez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Luciano Caviedes made a huge save. Vetecual's Laurentzi Clas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pacho Montemayor in the 42nd minute of play. Laurentzi Clas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pacho Montemayor went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cedro Calvete made a kick off. Tulio Arizmendez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Caviedes having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pacho Montemayor in the 64th minute of play forced Vetecual's goalkeeper Laurentzi Clas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pepillo Santayana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Laurentzi Clas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Pacho Montemayor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guacaparo's supporters rose to their feet, but Pacho Montemayor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laurentzi Clas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Patxi Mesonero hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Laurentzi Clas didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 73rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. The referee ignored Vetecual's protests and gave Cedro Calvete a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th minute, Cedro Calvete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 minutes, Patxi Mesonero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vetecual and the Guacaparo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Patxi Mesonero kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The Guacaparo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Guacaparo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
