Rolado Redondo scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francis Mel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 30 played minutes, Charallave's Olivar Ballesteros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ambrosio Tarrats came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Charallave reached it. Francis Mel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karlo Alvaro's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Ambrosio Tarrats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Mirones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gentza Saucedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ambrosio Tarrats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Mirones in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Karlo Alvaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Ganadito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederico Sicilia to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Karlo Alvaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francis Mel was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. In the 59th minute Karlo Alvaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francis Mel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francis Mel stood somewhat misplaced when Rolado Redondo came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 67 minute. 74 minutes into the game, Karlo Alvaro lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Francis Mel. Fonda Arrano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ambrosio Tarrats. Ganadito's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Charallave's Gentza Saucedo got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Gentza Saucedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Charallave's supporters rose to their feet, but Gentza Saucedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ambrosio Tarrats breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Martin Mirones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Ambrosio Tarrats tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ganadito's goalkeeper Ambrosio Tarrats, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ganadito had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
