Balendin Robles made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Benicio Campillo sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. If Nisio Orallo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Nisio Orallo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nacho Igareda, passed just outside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nisio Orallo got free with Nacho Igareda in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nisio Orallo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Canafistolo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
