Payemi FC's Anxo Vinas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tavio Barral in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute, one of Payemi FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Payemi FC. 12 minutes into the game, Zanquiche FC's Marco Llopiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anxo Vinas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Tavio Barral came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Zanquiche FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tavio Barral couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the game, Rozarius Bracero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Payemi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zanquiche FC the free kick. In the 20th minute, Rozarius Bracero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aritza Alicea got free with Javiar Clemente in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Payemi FC fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Payemi FC's Santiago Salazano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Reynaldo Berar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Payemi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Reynaldo Berar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Javiar Clemente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aritza Alicea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Zanquiche FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Bilintx Somoano hit a great ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santiago Salazano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Payemi FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.
