Rodriguez Arenchen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guipuzkoa Pradias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodriguez Arenchen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaitan Lamarta in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute, Chimborazo's Guipuzkoa Pradias ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rodriguez Arenchen. Rodriguez Arenchen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 12 played minutes Chimborazo got a freekick which was hit by Hermengildo Mortal. Hulberto Marquina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Unai Castañera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Chimborazo's goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Cotarelo came free, but Unai Castañera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Galindo Arcaya hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Rodriguez Arenchen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guipuzkoa Pradias in the 27th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Guipuzkoa Pradias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chimborazo's supporters rose to their feet, but Guipuzkoa Pradias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodriguez Arenchen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Hulberto Marquina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hulberto Marquina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Unai Castañera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guipuzkoa Pradias to make the kick off. If Guipuzkoa Pradias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Fresco Tijerina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chimborazo's Guipuzkoa Pradias got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaitan Lamarta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguez Arenchen having to interfere. Victoria FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gutierre Boces in the 76th minute. Victoria FC's Gutierre Boces was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Unai Castañera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After taking down the ball on Victoria FC's corner Gutierre Boces fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Unai Castañera quite easily take care of the ball. Unai Castañera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Cotarelo in the 82nd minute of the match. Victoria FC's Rodriguez Arenchen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guipuzkoa Pradias in the 85th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Gaitan Lamarta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodriguez Arenchen was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Gaitan Lamarta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguez Arenchen having to interfere. Guipuzkoa Pradias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguez Arenchen having to interfere. Chimborazo's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
