In the 11th minute, Jonas Cuevas made a precise shot to the right of Mambru Palmero. Golofa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Jonas Cuevas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ospetsu Ahijado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bixintxo Neses in the 18th minute of the match. Aquilino Rius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ospetsu Ahijado having to interfere. If Aquilino Rius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Zunbeltz Oromi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 32 minutes into the match, LosChechecos's Jonas Cuevas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mambru Palmero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aquilino Rius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ospetsu Ahijado having to interfere. During the 39th minute of the match Gero Buye completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gero Buye a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of LosChechecos booed when Golofa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gero Buye didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Cuevas in the 45th minute of play forced Golofa's goalkeeper Mambru Palmero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zunbeltz Oromi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Mambru Palmero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half LosChechecos were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zunbeltz Oromi was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Golofa's Gaizka Leal got a free kick in the 51st minute. After a rather tough play, Golofa's Fausto Corro got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the match, LosChechecos's John Mañes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Golofa's goalkeeper Mambru Palmero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. LosChechecos's Jonas Cuevas got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Bixintxo Neses hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonas Cuevas in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mambru Palmero, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in LosChechecos's zone, Fausto Corro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ospetsu Ahijado came out of the goal and Fausto Corro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. LosChechecos played a much better game than Golofa and deserved their victory. The Golofa players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
