In the 14th match minute, Maparaca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Lucas to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Lucas in the 16th minute of play forced Academia Valenciana's goalkeeper Elizardo Orcajo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Academia Valenciana's Elizardo Orcajo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrew Portocarrero in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rioja Valensuela in the 19th minute of play forced Maparaca's goalkeeper Txanton Olaverrieta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Maparaca's Andrew Portocarrero got a free kick in the 27th minute. The supporters of Maparaca booed when Academia Valenciana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eli Camino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute of the match Gorka Matamoros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elizardo Orcajo skillfully saved the ball. Elizardo Orcajo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrew Portocarrero in the 37th minute of the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andrew Portocarrero couldn't finish the play. Hipolito Mayoral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Elizardo Orcajo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Andrew Portocarrero got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 83 minutes into the match, Academia Valenciana's goalkeeper Elizardo Orcajo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrew Portocarrero. Domingos Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elizardo Orcajo having to interfere. Andrew Portocarrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Academia Valenciana's Elizardo Orcajo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Lucas in the 87th minute of play. Andrew Portocarrero in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Elizardo Orcajo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Txanton Olaverrieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rioja Valensuela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th minute, Rioja Valensuela ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Txanton Olaverrieta was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Maparaca were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
