One of Berrocal:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Guarica FC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Toribio Villatoro, was totally fooled by Guarica FC's Marcelito Mozo, who 34 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After some careless play in the Guarica FC defense, Emilio Meldasgoas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Monte Rioja. The Guarica FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Monte Rioja should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Fabian Mestas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guarica FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Mestas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
