After 17 played minutes Cunaguaro got a freekick which was hit by Gaztea Marrero. 20 minutes into the match, Cunaguaro's goal looked a bit too open when Burni Bascones came free, but Arixo Sociats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeraldo Bornes in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arixo Sociats saved Cunaguaro from getting behind. After some careless play in the Cunaguaro defense, Jeraldo Bornes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arixo Sociats. The Cunaguaro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arixo Sociats should have stopped the shot. Jose Flames made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fagildo Villamediana in the 38th minute. A collision led to Casanacho FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Florentino Sarri hit a great ball. Jeraldo Bornes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arixo Sociats having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Cunaguaro's Fagildo Villamediana nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jose Flames made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2.

Gaztea Marrero was shown his second yellow card after 67 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Cunaguaro's supporters rose to their feet, but Senon Peruyera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jose Flames breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
