Eutropio Barma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perez Diosdado in the 3rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Txartiko Antoniano in the 11th minute of play forced Palenque FC's goalkeeper Eutropio Barma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zuri Abellaneda during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Perez Diosdado's late challenge caught a Palenque FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Perez Diosdado helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in Vitu FC's zone, Aristides Quexada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bide Monterros came out of the goal and Aristides Quexada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cordarrel Salazar fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vitu FC's protests and gave Cordarrel Salazar a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Vitu FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Cordarrel Salazar hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Vitu FC's goalkeeper Bide Monterros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aristides Quexada. If Argenis Villapadierna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 played minutes Palenque FC got a freekick which was hit by Maurino Caldueño. Bide Monterros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Venegas, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Luisito Copeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 42 minutes, Aristides Quexada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palenque FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aristides Quexada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Txartiko Antoniano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eutropio Barma having to interfere. Argenis Villapadierna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Txartiko Antoniano was the one to do the kick off. Vitu FC's Inacio Orruma couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Palenque FC. If Aristides Quexada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 80 minutes, Aristides Quexada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palenque FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aristides Quexada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Abel Venegas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palenque FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Venegas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bide Monterros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. During the 83rd minute of the match Perez Diosdado completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Perez Diosdado a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Perez Diosdado hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. When Aristides Quexada came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Palenque FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aristides Quexada couldn't finish the play. Aristides Quexada struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Bide Monterros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palenque FC. The Palenque FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Vitu FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Vitu FC.
